The world No. 1 slapped down fellow American Bryson DeChambeau’s attempts at body banter with a well-aimed blow at a European Tour event in Abu Dhabi this week.
The pair, who both played on the 2018 United States Ryder Cup team, appeared together in a promotional photo shoot ahead of the Abu Dhabi tournament.
They both wore white lab coats, with Koepka holding a dumbbell and DeChambeau sporting safety specs and clutching a chemistry-type beaker in a nod to his “scientist” persona.
However, after the first round Thursday, Koepka fired his barb.
“You were right @b_dechambeau I am 2 short of a 6 pack!” the 29-year-old tweeted with a picture of his four major trophies — two from the US Open and two from the PGA Championship.
For the 26-year-old DeChambeau, who is ranked 16th, his best finish in a major came at the 2016 US Open, when he tied for 15th.
